Bid Packages

The Bid Package form is the central form in the Purchasing section.  The Bid Package captures the Buyout Items, Scope of Work, Company Bids, Drawings, Contract Attachments, and Addenda.

The Bid Package form is available within Insight as a read-only form.

To create a basic bid package record

1. On the View menu, click Purchasing > Bid Packages, and then select a view.
2. Click .

The Bid Packages form appears.

3. Enter the following information:
• Package Number*: The next available bid package number, which is displayed by default and can be modified. Click the Next button to select the next available number.
• Description: The description of the bid package.
• CSI Code: The CSI code that describes the majority of the work in the bid package.
• Closed: Select this check box to indicate that the bid package record is closed.

*This field is required.

4. To save the changes and keep the form open, click > Save.

To save the changes and close the form, click > Save and Exit.

The Invitation to Bid notification can be triggered using the menu on the Bid Package form. Based on the notification settings specified in the User-Triggered Notifications module in Prolog Converge Administration, the bid package notification will be sent to the bidders.

Note:

• The Notify menu can be accessed only by users of the Project Full Access security group as defined in the Administration area.
• This notification cannot be triggered from the Bid Package Response form which is accessed by users of the Project Collaborators security group.
