Field Work Directives

In a construction project, field work directives are issued to handle unexpected events and account for work. A field work directive can instruct contractors to complete additional work, correct unacceptable work, or perform emergency work. A field work directive is sometimes referred to as a field order, or a work directive.

A field work directive can also be used to provide clarification about the work a contractor or subcontractor is supposed to perform.

To create a field work directive

  1. On the View menu, click Field Administration > Field Work Directives, and then select a view.
  2. Click .
  3. The Field Work Directives form is displayed.

  4. Enter the following information:

  6. To save the changes and keep the form open, click > Save.

    To save the changes and close the form, click > Save and Exit.
