You can add revisions for the drawings in drawing packages using the Batch Update Wizard.
- On the View menu, click Document Control > Drawings & Specs > Batch Update Wizard.
- Click Create.
- On the Drawing Package List tab, search for drawing packages for which you want to create a revision using the following search filters:
- Number: Enter a number for the drawing package.
- Description: Enter the description of the drawing package. Partial words in a description are accepted. Example: "concept" will include "conceptual" and "concepts".
- Status: Select the status of the package, such as Approved as Noted.
- Open: Select this check box to include only open drawing packages.
Note: If you do not specify any search criteria, all drawing packages are listed in the search results.
- Click Search. The drawing packages are displayed based on the filters you selected.
- Select the packages containing the records for which you want to create a revision.
TIP: To select a row, click in the first column. To select multiple rows, click the first column and drag to select. To clear a row, hold Ctrl and click on the rows you wish to remove.
- Click Next.
All the drawings from the drawing package are listed and selected.
- To remove a drawing from the list, while holding Ctrl, click on the first column of the drawing.
Only the drawings that are selected are included in the batch update.
- Click Next.
- In the grid, enter or select the updated information for each drawing in the following fields:
- Revision Number: Revision number for the drawing or specification.
- Revision Date: Date the drawing or specification was created or a revision was submitted.
- Bulletin: Bulletin related to a revision of the drawing or specification.
- Percent Complete: Percent of completion for the drawing.
- Status: Status of the drawing or specification.
- Category: Category that reflects the nature or status of the drawing or specification.
- Package Reference: Link to one or more drawing packages.
- Notes: Any notes about the drawing or revision.
- RFI Reference: Link to a related RFI.
- Rec'd Date: The date the drawing package or drawing was received by the recipient company.
- From Company: Name of the company that requested or implemented the revision.
To apply the same value to all rows in the same column, select the cell value and click Copy Value. Click Yes when prompted to confirm.
- Click Next after updating the information.
- Click Finish to save all changes.
